Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use badrtech.io, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain English.

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This policy explains how BadrTech Solutions LLC (“BadrTech”, “we”, “us”), a software development company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, handles personal information collected through badrtech.io, including our client portal.

The short version: we collect what you choose to send us and a small amount of anonymous usage data. We use it to reply to you and to run our business. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers that help us run this site. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information you give us

We collect the information you enter when you:

  • Contact us: your name, email, company, budget range, and message.
  • Request a project: your name, email, company, project type, budget, timeline, project details, and any files you attach.
  • Book a consultation: your name, email, phone number, company, the topic, and the time you choose.
  • Download our website checklist: your name, email, and, if you choose to share them, your business name and type of business, plus whether you asked for our follow-up tips.
  • Create an account or use the client portal: your name, email, a password (which we store only in hashed form, never as plain text), the projects you request, and the messages you send about them.
  • Refer another business: we create a referral code linked to your account and keep track of who requests a project through your link or pays with your code, so we can pay you the reward.
  • Pay a quote, invoice, or subscription: payments are processed by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded, along with details like the amount and the email you used.

Information collected automatically

Site analytics. We run our own simple, privacy-respecting analytics instead of third-party tools like Google Analytics. When you view a page we record the page address, the website that referred you (if any), your device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), and your approximate location (city, region, and country), which our hosting provider estimates from your IP address. We don't store your IP address with this data. To count unique visitors, your browser keeps a random ID that isn't linked to your name, email, or any other site.

Where you came from. When you arrive, your browser notes how you found us: the campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example, that it was one of our Facebook posts), the website that sent you, and the first page you saw. This stays in your browser for up to 90 days and is only sent to us if you fill in one of our forms, so we know which of our posts and ads people find useful. We never store the ad click ID itself.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't record any of this.

Security and abuse prevention. To stop spam and abuse, we limit how often forms can be submitted. For this we keep short-lived, one-way hashed versions of IP addresses and, for the checklist, email addresses, which can't be turned back into the original. Some forms may also use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visitor is a person and may process information about your browser and connection to do so.

Hosting. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages to you and keep the site secure.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies we set keep you signed in:

  • Client portal sign-in, set when you sign in to the client portal. It lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out.
  • Admin sign-in, used only by our team.

We also save a few things in your browser's local storage, which stay on your device:

  • your light or dark theme preference;
  • the random analytics ID described above;
  • where you came from, as described above, kept for up to 90 days;
  • which items you've ticked off on our website checklist, so your progress is there when you come back;
  • a draft of the project request form, so you don't lose your work if you leave the page. It's removed once you send the request or clear the form.

You can clear all of these at any time in your browser settings.

How we use your information

  • to reply to your inquiry and talk with you about your project;
  • to prepare quotes, deliver our work, and send invoices and receipts;
  • to schedule consultations and send you reminders;
  • to send you resources you ask for, like our checklist;
  • to give clients access to their project portal;
  • to understand how our site is used so we can improve it;
  • to keep the site secure and prevent spam and fraud;
  • to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run this site, and only so they can provide that service:

  • Vercel hosts the website, stores files you attach to project requests, and provides the approximate location used in our analytics;
  • Neon hosts our database;
  • Resend delivers our emails;
  • Stripe processes payments;
  • Cloudflare provides spam protection on some forms (Turnstile).

Referrals.If you come to us through someone's referral link or pay with their referral code, they can see a partly hidden version of your email address (for example, “da•••@example.com”) and whether you've requested a project or paid. They never see your project details or what you paid.

These providers may process data in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Emails we send

We email you when you ask us to or when it's part of working together: replies to your inquiry, booking confirmations and reminders, quotes, invoices and receipts, project updates, portal sign-in links, and resources you request.

When you download our website checklist, you can also choose to receive three short follow-up emails with tips, sent over about ten days. They're off unless you tick the box, and every one includes a link to unsubscribe, which takes effect straight away. Your email client's own “Unsubscribe” button works too. We don't add anyone to any other marketing list.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries, project and client records, and correspondence for as long as we need them to work with you and to keep reasonable business records. We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Some data is deleted automatically:

  • emails are removed from our sending queue once they're delivered;
  • hashed data used to prevent spam is deleted soon after its time window (at most 24 hours) ends;
  • payment notifications from Stripe are deleted after 30 days.
  • if you unsubscribe from our follow-up tips, we keep a record of your address only so we don't email you again.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

How we protect it

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Portal passwords are stored as one-way hashes, sign-in cookies can't be read by scripts on the page, and access to our admin tools is restricted to our team. Files attached to project requests are stored at long, random web addresses that aren't listed or linked anywhere public, though anyone given the address could open the file. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will let you know if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal, tax, or accounting reasons;
  • give you a copy of your information.

Email hello@badrtech.io and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we'll honor these requests wherever you are, and we won't treat you differently for making one.

To stop analytics, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or clear your browser storage.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses and aren't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on this page.
